DRPS Major Crime Fraud investigators arrested two Markham men this weekend in connection to multiple fraud offences and seized $35,000 cash and fraudulent equipment.

During the evening of July 8 and earlier morning hours of July 9, 2011, fraud investigators along with DRPS Offender Management U/nit (OMU) members arrested two residents of Markham for several fraud-related offences. Search warrants were executed at two Markham residences, resulting in the seizure of fraudulent credit cards, blank credit cards, stolen credit card data and ATM overlay devices. Officers seized $35,000 cash and arrested both males.

Harrish THARMA, age 19 of Ridgecrest Road in Markham is charged with 30 fraud related charges and Kingson YOGANATHAN, age 21, of Hollyhock Street in Markham is charged with 12 fraud related charges. In total, 42 criminal charges have been laid. Both men were held for a bail hearing.
