Police need the public’s help in locating a 32 year-old man from Alberta Hospital. Douglas Campbell escaped from secure custody at the facility at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Security personnel on site attempted to locate him but were unsuccessful.
An extensive search of the grounds was done by various Edmonton Police Service officers. The search was expanded to other locations where the man was believed to have frequented. Those areas being Jasper Avenue, Whyte Avenue, Spady, and some local hostels. ETS was also notified.
Campbell was last seen wearing dark blue sweatpants, a dark blue sweater, white t-shirt and white runners. He is said to be 6’4” tall, 220 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes.
If you see someone matching this description you are asked to not approach him and instead contact police.
