Five accused have been charged with offences including perjury and obstruct justice following a lengthy investigation by fraud investigators.

Investigators from DRPS Major Crime Fraud – Organized Crime Section have recently charged five male suspects with perjury and obstruct justice in relation to several ongoing fraud investigations before the Courts. All of the suspects testified during judicial proceedings involving fraud-related investigations and lied, some providing different and inconsistent testimonies from their original declarations, in their attempt to discredit police investigations.

Kajenthiran VIJAYAKUMAR, age 22 of Jacques Road in Toronto is charged with: Perjury; Attempt to Obstruct Justice and Breach Probation and was held for a bail hearing.

Vigitharan SELVARAJ, age 24 of Empiringham Drive in Toronto is charged with: Perjury; Attempt to Obstruct Justice and Breach Probation and was held for a bail hearing.

Mithun INDRAKUMARAN, age 22 of Rusty Trail in Woodbridge is charged with: Perjury; Attempt to Obstruct Justice; Conspiracy to Commit Perjury and Breach Conditional Sentence. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Aruncumar RAVINDRAN, age 23 of Fontebella Avenue in Woodbridge is charged with: Perjury; Attempt to Obstruct Justice, Conspiracy to Commit Perjury and Breach Conditional Sentence. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Vivehy VIGNESWARAN, age 52 of Treewood Drive in Toronto is charged with: Perjury; Attempt to Obstruct Justice and Conspiracy to Commit Perjury. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
