Members of the Nova Scotia RCMP Integrated Proceeds of Crime (IPOC) Section have charged 59-year-old Kenneth Pittman of Enfield, with 17 counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime and one charge of Money Laundering Offences.

As part of the year-long investigation, IPOC investigators seized vehicles, including a $26,000 vintage 1969 Corvette, a 1997 Chevrolet GMT-400 truck, an all terrain vehicle, ride-on lawn mower, $36,000 cash, as well as other personal and household items valued at over $50,000. Both of Mr. Pittman’s Horne Settlement, Hants County properties; valued at approximately $300,000 combined, were also restrained.

The investigation began in July 2010, after the RCMP Enfield Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) seized several kilograms of marihuana from Mr. Pittman, and charged him with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking and Cultivation. Police also seized several firearms during a search warrant. Those charges are still pending.

Mr. Pittman is due in Shubenacadie court in relation to the IPOC charges on August 29, 2011.
