Toronto police officer Matthew Glen charged with assault

A Toronto Police Service officer has been arrested and charged.

Constable Matthew Glen, 32, with 10 years’ service, is currently attached to 41 Division.

It is alleged that:

– on Friday, July 22, 2011, at 3:47 a.m., a man was arrested by police and taken to 41 Division,

– while at the police station, the accused, who was not involved in the arrest of the victim but was the Booking Officer, assaulted the victim.

On Friday, July 22, 2011, the accused was arrested and charged with:

1) Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, September 12, 2011, room 505, at 10 a.m.
