Toronto police search for sexual attacker Elbert Crafton Edwards

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– On Friday, July 29, 2011, in the evening hours, a 39-year-old woman met a man in downtown Toronto,

– they both went to a home in the Warden Avenue/Danforth Road area,

– the man then sexually assaulted the woman.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

Elbert Crafton Edwards, 49, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Aggravated Sexual Assault.

He is described as black, 49, 5’7"- 5’8", 177 lbs.

He may be driving a dark-blue 2000 Saturn LW1, four-door wagon with Ontario Licence Plate BLXD 652.

He is considered dangerous. Do not approach him, call 9-1-1.
