EPS Sexual Assault Section detectives are looking for a 17-year old girl, who is allegedly engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse with a number of partners without disclosing her status as being HIV positive.
Two complainants have come forward and the Sexual Assault Section has begun an investigation.
Failure to disclose one’s status as HIV positive is a criminal offense if you know you are HIV positive. This falls under Section 273 (2) (b) Criminal Code of Canada – aggravated sexual assault.
Police are strongly recommending that anyone who has engaged in sexual activity with this woman seek medical attention as soon as possible.
