Elderly man charged in Sudbury rooming house stabbing

On the 19Aug11 at 2356 hours the accused a 71 year old Man a resident of a downtown rooming house contacted another resident of the same rooming house and had him attend his room. He told him to sit down and then stabbed him in the arm with a pair of scissors, he attempted to stab him again however the victim fled the area and called police. As the result of Greater Sudbury Police ongoing investigation a 71 year old Sudbury Man has been charged with Attempted Murder and he is in police custody pending a Bail Hearing. The Victim suffered a single stab wound to his arm.
