NBA veteran Marcus Camby the former No. 2 pick in the 1996 NBA draft was arrested on charges of having possession of marijuana. He was arrested in suburban Houston. 2 ounces of the drug were found with the famous NBA star.
Camby, 37, who plays for the Portland Trailblazers in the National Basketball Association, was charged with class A misdemeanor of possessing marijuana in a drug free zone. Kendal Johnson was arrested along with Camby as well. The police reported that their car was smelling of burnt marijuana and thus on search the drug was found from their possession. This offence was conducted in the premises near a school.
However, both of them have now been let out on individual $2,000 bonds.
This is not the first time the NBA star has been arrested. In 1997 in Connecticut he was arrested for marijuana possession as well.
