The news is finally out! Sarah Palin has decided to step down from the Presidential run for 2012 and with due reason. The recent polls on Republican candidates popularity did not show a much favourable picture for Palin to compete. According to analyst, the 2012 Presidential race is going to be a Mitt Romney and Barack Obama one. However, does this actually signify an end to Palin’s political career?

“If I say no to the opportunity that’s in front of me, politically speaking, will I die?,” Palin said. “I concluded that I believe I can be an effective voice in a real decisive role in helping get true public servants elected to office, not just in the presidency.”

“She woud have been a guaranteed ticket to Obama’s re-election,” he said. “She has been using all the uncertainty over whether she would stand to raise her celebrity status and cash flow. She was never a plausible candidate.” said Tom Mann, a political analyst at the Brookings Institution.

Palin has decided to spend this year endorsing different candidates from the Congress and the White House. In fact, she stated that many different rival Republican candidates were asking for her endorsement as well, as her husband was the one receiving the calls. “He’s the one answering the phone and setting up meetings for us. I do look forward to hearing more personally from these politicians.” Asked who was calling, she said: “You’ll have to ask Todd.”

Like Palin, Cain is also closer to the Tea Party movement and she spoke very highly of him in an interview when she said “He has the business acumen and that background in the private sector, knowing how to create jobs and meet a bottom line and understanding the work ethic. He’s pulled himself up from the bootstraps. That’s that American story that so many of us are intrigued with and impressed with.”
