As a result of the continuing efforts of New Brunswick law enforcement agencies to combat Internet child sexual exploitation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Irishtown, N.B. on October 13, 2011.

During the search, police seized several computers, as well as digital storage devices such as hard drives. A 51-year-old man was arrested at the residence.

He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on October 14, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing.

Members of the New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation and Technological Crime units, as well as members of the District 11 Caledonia RCMP, the Rothesay Regional Police Force and the Saint John Police Force participated in the search and ongoing investigation.
