On November 29, 2011, at about 11:20 p.m., Codiac RCMP members were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle crash along Mountain Road in Moncton. A vehicle left the road, broke a utility pole, went through a fence, damaged several trees and overturned, ending up in a residence’s yard. The vehicle also caught fire and was heavily damaged. Witnesses saw the driver leave the scene on foot.

Twenty-four-year old Kevin Murray, of Moncton, was located and arrested shortly after. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court today to face several charges including attempting to disarm a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer, driving while impaired and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Murray has been remanded in custody until Friday, December 2, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing.
