Police has setup an inquiry on the murder-case of an 82-year-old woman at a retirement home in suburban Barrhaven. The old lady has been identified as Doreen Flann.
Ottawa Police are refraining from sharing any more details about how Flann was killed. However, an 82-year-old man has been arrested. So far, no charges have been laid.
On the other hand, a few newspapers state that Flann was stabbed to death and her husband, Ian Flann, is the man in custody.
According to Ottawa paramedics, emergency crews were called to the Longfields Manor to respond to reports that an elderly man and woman had suffered serious injuries.
“Obviously, he had to have some medical attention. He’s being assessed now,” Sgt. David Veinotte of the Ottawa Police said on Monday.
