Charlene Mary Rideout Winmill facing charges for double murder in N.B. in 2004

A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder.

Jessie Jo Finnamore and Jeffrey John Shannon were murdered in 2004 in the Bath, N.B. area. Charlene Mary Rideout Winmill is currently serving prison sentences for second degree murder in each case. Jonathan Finnamore is currently serving a prison sentence for the second degree murder of Jeffrey John Shannon.

On January 3, 2012, two charges were laid against Robert Lawrence Winmill in Woodstock Provincial Court with being an accessory after the fact. Robert Winmill is accused of assisting Charlene Rideout Winmill in escaping prosecution. Robert Winmill is currently serving a prison sentence at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, N.B. on an unrelated matter.

The next court date for Robert Winmill is scheduled for Woodstock on January 10, 2012.

The investigation is still ongoing into the death of Jessie Jo Finnamore as police believe another person or people may have been involved in her death.
