The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a 11-year-old girl was on a TTC bus, standing near the front, in the Jane Street/Troutbrooke Drive area
– a man engaged her in conversation
– the girl walked further down the bus, away from the man, but he followed her, then sexually assaulted her
– a passenger witnessed the assault and came to the girl’s assistance
– two TPS Transit Patrol officers, at the rear of the bus, were alerted to the commotion and arrested the man
On Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 6:20 PM, Krishna D-Singh, 70, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1. Sexual Assault
2. Sexual Interference
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 10 a.m., room 306.
