London man Jonathon Zak dies of gunshot wound

Police have determined that the death of Jonathon Zak was a homicide.

On Thursday, May 31, 2012 at approximately 1:26 a.m., the London Police Service responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Boullee Street and Victoria Street, London. Several officers responded, people in the area were interviewed and the area was searched. No evidence of a shooting was discovered at that time. 

At 7: 00 a.m., the London Police Service received a 911 call indicating that there was a male in medical distress near a pathway that runs north in Northeast Park. The London Police Service responded, along with other EMS services. A male was located with an apparent gunshot wound and vital signs absent. 

A post mortem was completed and the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
