The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit is currently investigating a homicide in Halifax.

At 2:08 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the Clayton Park Shopping Center located at 278 Lacewood Drive after receiving a call that someone had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located an injured man who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation indicates that the victim had just left an establishment when he was shot.

The investigation is in its early stages.
