On Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at approximately 10:20 a.m., police were called for an Unknown Trouble at 23 Carrying Place.
Police located a two-year-old boy face down in a pond in the backyard of 21 Carrying Place.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital and then transfered to The Hospital for Sick Children. He was later pronounced dead.
As a result of an investigation, Sriranganathan Ampalam, 58, was arrested.
He is charged with:
1) Criminal negligence causing death
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, in courtroom 412, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 10 a.m.
