On Sunday, April 11, 2010, just before 5 a.m., police responded to an attempted abduction in the Jarvis Street/Carlton Street area.

It is alleged that:

– a 29-year-old woman was walking along Jarvis Street, when a car drove past her with three men in it,

– the driver asked her for the time, then got out of the car and grabbed her, covering her mouth,

– the front passenger then got out of the car and assisted the first man and grabbed the woman by the legs,

– both men then tried to pull her into the car,

– the victim struggled, broke free, ran into a building, and called police,

– both men got back into the car and drove off.

The men are described as:

#1: light-brown complexion, 5’1"-5’2", stocky, muscular build, 20-30, wearing a baseball cap.

#2: light-brown complexion, 6′, stocky build, mid 20s-30, with short hair.

The vehicle is described as a silver sedan, unknown make or model.

Investigators have security camera images from the area, and two women were seen walking by the area just prior to the assault. Police are appealing to the two women to contact police with any information they might have.
