Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an elderly man last seen leaving his Brampton home.
Sivasami Iyer Sabaratna Iyer was last seen by a member of his family when he walked out the front door of his Saunter Court home. He left the house at around 7:00 a.m. on the morning of Monday July 23, 2012.
Mr. Sabaratna Iyer is 69 years of age, and described as male South Asian, approximately 5’ 5” tall, 170 pounds with a medium build and a light brown complexion. He has brown eyes and short white hair that is balding on top. Mr. Sabaratna Iyer was last seen wearing a black and red checkered shirt: his other clothing is not known.
Investigators and family members are concerned for his safety and wellbeing due to the fact that Mr. Sabaratna Iyer suffers from some medical conditions that require daily medications. He moved to Brampton from North York only 3 months ago, so his familiarity with his new neighbourhood may cause some confusion with his whereabouts.
Update: Mr. Sabaratna Iyer has been located in good health. There is no foul play suspected in this missing person case.
