An elderly Lilydale man charged with accessing and possessing child pornography

RCMP have charged a Lunenburg County man with Accessing and Possessing Child Pornography.

As a result of an investigation involving officers from the RCMP Nova Scotia Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE Unit) and the Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Unit, on July 17th a search warrant was executed at a residence in Lilydale, Lunenburg County. Officers from the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Unit, Lunenburg Detachment and the RCMP Technological Crime Unit assisted in the search.

A 62-years-old Lilydale man was arrested and charged for Accessing and Possessing Child Pornography.

He was released on conditions to remain in Nova Scotia, notify the RCMP of any change of address or employment, not to possess any form of pornography, not to be in the presence of any persons under the age of 18 years unless in the presence of the parent or guardian of that child and who has been informed of the offence and/or conditions, and not to access the internet, except as a condition of employment and for work purposes. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Court on December 19th, 2012, at 9:30 a.m.

The RCMP Nova Scotia ICE Unit investigates persons who victimize children by making, distributing, possessing, and/or accessing child sexual abuse images or videos, and/or luring children online for a sexual purpose.
