During the evening of April 9, 2010 Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section executed a residential search warrant on King Street in Moncton.

During the search officers seized drugs believed to be cocaine, ecstacy and marijuana. Police also seized drug paraphernalia and several thousand dollars in cash.

A 22-year-old Moncton man was arrested without incident along with four other individuals in the raid. The others arrested were released pending further investigation.

Kevin Randy Morais, appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Monday afternoon and was remanded until his next court appearance on April 14, 2010 at 9:30 am.

“ These arrests are part of on-going efforts by Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section to reduce street level drugs in our community,” says Cst. Chantal Farrah spokesperson for the Codiac Regional RCMP. “We strongly believe that drug dealers destroy lives, homes and communities. Our efforts are going towards ensuring that residents enjoy community activities in a safe and secure environment.”
