RCMP make arrests in prostitution operation, Moncton, N.B.

On May 6, 2010, the Codiac Regional RCMP Street Crime Unit arrested five women for solicitation for the purpose of prostitution during a prostitution operation in the St George Street area in Moncton. The arrests were made on Dufferin, St. George and Park Streets in Moncton. The women are all Moncton residents and are between the ages of 24 and 41.

This operation is part of the continuing effort by Codiac Regional RCMP to deter street prostitution in the community. The Codiac Regional RCMP’s primary objective is to ensure safe homes and safe communities for all citizens. With your information, we can solve crime.

Four of the women will be appearing in Moncton Provincial Court this morning to face charges. The fifth woman was arrested and released and will be appearing in court on July 19, 2010 at 9:30am.
