The Ottawa Police Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a collision involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist that occurred on Bronson Ave. The collision resulted in one death.
On October 18 at approximately 7:45pm, a car travelling southbound on Bronson Ave, just south of Holmwood Ave, collided with a cyclist, who was travelling northbound in the southbound lanes.
The cyclist, a 27 year old female from Ottawa was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. She was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
