Jason Thomas McPhee of Penobsqui charged with uttering death threats

 On May 20, 2010, 30-year-old Jason Thomas McPhee of Penobsquis appeared in Sussex Provincial Court to answer to several charges including uttering death threats, mischief and breach of probation in relation to an incident which occurred in Penobsquis on Wednesday afternoon.

On May 19, 2010 at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Sussex RCMP received a 911 call to respond to a residence on Back Road in Penobsquis where a man was outside making threats against the residents inside. When the police arrived, the man fled and locked himself in his residence. After several hours of negotiation, the man left his home and was arrested without incident.

Jason McPhee has been remanded into custody until May 21, 2010 at 0930 a.m. when he will return to Sussex Provincial Court for a bail hearing.
