Codiac Regional RCMP has been able to confirm that human remains found on December 22, 2012, in a wooded area in Moncton were that of a 19-year-old Moncton man.
The skeletal remains found in a wooded area next to Wheeler Boulevard near the Church Street overpass are those of 19-year-old Sunny Blue Best-Buckle. Identification was made with the help of dental records. The Moncton man had not been reported missing to police.
The cause of death has not yet been determined and remains under investigation. While testing and analysis to this point has not revealed any signs of foul play, it has not been ruled out. Investigators are attempting to determine how long the remains may have been in the woods and are asking for the public’s assistance.
