The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team have found two more dead bodies along Colebrook Road in Surrey this morning, which totals the number of dead bodies collected from that rural stretch to four in six weeks. A spokesperson of IHI,  Sgt. Jennifer Pound, revealed that the patrolling officers were routinely canvassing around 2 a.m., when they found an unresponsive body lying on the road near the area of Colebrook Road and 125A Street.

Upon arrival of emergency services, a police dog team were tasked to search the surrounding area, when it discovered another dead body of a woman located “a short distance” from the man’s body. Pound revealed that police suspects both victims to have encountered foul play, and stated that IHIT will carry on the investigate. Pound mentioned that “until the identity has been determined investigators will not know the connection, if any, today’s victims have to each other or to the other two victims found recently in this area.” IHIT, RCMP and the forensics team are anticipated to remain at the crime scene for most of the day.

Mayor of Surrey, Dianne Watts, visited the crime scene on Wednesday morning, sharing that she was “absolutely without a doubt” worried about the growing number of murders in her city this year. She alleged that “I just wanted to see where it was. I am just going to go get some information.” She admitted that “It’s problematic. We are seeing something here that is very concerning to myself, to the residents here. I have gotten calls from the residents. I am going to go back and have a chat with our police chief.”
