Sudbury KwikWay cashier badly beaten in a robbery

On Saturday 19th June 2010 at approximately 7:57 pm, Uniform and Tactical officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service were dispatched to a Robbery at 324 Elm Street, outside the KwikWay convenience store.

Upon arrival the male victim was being assisted by EMS as the male had been knocked unconscious and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from him.

The male victim was transported to the SRH and treated for non life threatening injuries. He has since been released from hospital with facial injuries.

The suspect is described as a male with little additional information available.

Police are attempting to locate two people who are believed to have been in the area of the convenience store at the approximate time of the robbery.

Anyone who may have witnessed this robbery is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division in hopes that the male party responsible can be located and charged accordingly.
