Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8210 Bauman about 4 a.m. today.
The victim, Victor Martinez, 26, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Countryman and Officers K. Lopez and M. Coleman reported:
When Mr. Martinez left his second-story apartment to investigate suspicious activity he saw in the parking lot, two unknown Hispanic males ran up the stairwell and shot him one time. The two suspects then fled the scene.
