A 24-year-old man who was wanted by the RCMP in connection with a murder that took place early this morning in Geary, N.B., has been arrested in Burton. The man was located by police around 3 p.m., and taken into custody without incident.

On May 1, 2013, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police officers with the Oromocto RCMP responded to a 911 call at a residence on Branch Road in Geary, where they discovered the body of a 61-year-old man. A 47-year-old man from Geary was arrested at the scene.

The investigation into the murder is ongoing. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
