The Ottawa Police Service are investigating a stabbing which occurred at a residence in the 1200 block of Rideout Cresent in the City’s West end. A male and a female were stabbed at this location. A male suspect fled the scene and was arrested a short time later. The male victim is in stable condition and the female victim is in critical but stable condition. Investigators have confirmed that the victims did not know the suspect.

The accused was held for a show cause hearing and has now been remanded into custody.
He will appear in court next on Friday July 2nd 2010.
