Houston resident L.C. Holmes Jr. dies of severe burns

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 827 North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610) about 12:15 p.m. on Sunday (May 12).

The victim, L.C. Holmes, Jr., 53, of the above address, suffered severe burns and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

The Houston Fire Department responded to a house fire at the above address.  Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Holmes inside.  Both the HPD Homicide Division and the HFD Arson Division are investigating this incident.
