Fondren Road youth dies of drowning in a swimming pool

Houston police are investigating the drowning of a boy at 11315 Fondren Road about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday (May 12).

The juvenile victim, 5, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Officers I. Ulloa, K. Daignault and N. Rosenblatt reported:

The boy was at his apartment at the above address when he snuck away from his parents and went into the apartment complex’s swimming pool.  The parents were then alerted the boy had been pulled unconcious from the pool.  The parents immediately transported the boy to the hospital in a private vehicle.  The investigation is continuing.
