More than one thousand guests are expected to attend the memorial service of the Hamilton man, Tim Bosma, who was brutally killed after taking two strangers on a test drive in a truck he was trying to sell online. The venue of the memorial service, i.e. Carmen’s Banquet Hall, is the same where Tim and Sharlene Bosma hosted their marriage ceremony only three years ago.

The memorial service of the father of a two-year-old girl will commence at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday. 32-year-old Bosma was reported missing on May 6, after which an extensive and prevalent police investigation lead to the discovery of his charred remains on the farm of Dellen Millard, the suspect charged in Bosma’s death, on May 14. 27-year-old Dellen Millard has been indicted with three different charges, including first-degree murder, forcible confinement and theft of a vehicle.

Ancaster and surrounding communities voluntarily conducted numerous vigils and memorial efforts in hope of sharing condolences with the Bosma family. Many participated in a month-long “Porch lights for Tim” campaign, when contributors left their porch lights on at night as a symbol of condolence for the tragedy. Later on, a motorcycle ride has been scheduled for June 23, which is aimed at raising money for a trust fund for Bosma’s wife and daughter. Bosma’s friend, Gerry Kikkert, who was also the best man at his wedding, is scheduled to speak at the memorial. The two men have known each other since high school.
