Woman murdered in a fire at 502 Huron Street, Toronto

On Friday, July 2, 2010, police received a call for a fire at 502 Huron Street.

Toronto Fire Services and police attended and located a 24-year-old woman with obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was also injured in this fire and remains in hospital in critical condition.

After further investigation, it is determined that the woman was murdered and a fire occurred during the time of the murder.

Police are appealing to members of the public in an effort to identify the next-of-kin for this man.

He is identified as Fashar Badakhshad, 27.
