The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate the disappearance of a young Calgary man.
In the hopes of encouraging more information from the public, the family is releasing a statement to the media as well as a new photograph.
Schuyler Rhys Bierkos (Bee…your…koss), 20, was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at his home address in the 2600 block of 15 Ave. S.E. On Wednesday, April 13, 2013, he was reported missing to police by a family member in Sylvan Lake.
Since the last appeal for information, police have received several tips from the public that are currently being investigated. However, nothing so far has led to the whereabouts of BIERKOS.
Since going missing, he has not accessed his bank accounts and hasn’t used any of his social media accounts which in the past have been his main form of communication.
He is also an avid gamer, specifically the League of Legends, but his gaming profiles do not appear to have been used since he went missing.
He has been known to travel to Vancouver and Vancouver Island and also has connections in Edmonton and Sylvan Lake.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 165 lbs., 6’3” tall, with a slim build, blond hair and blue eyes. He has acne scars on his face and usually has a beard.

BIERKOS is also known as SKY and his gaming handle is ‘Xaos the odd’.
The following is a statement that can be attributed to the Bierkos family.
“Schuyler is the youngest member of our family, and at 6’3” he is also the tallest. A little brother with two big sisters he is a well-trained diplomat. He is gentle in nature, a pacifist at heart. He has a wicked sense of humor that is frequently expressed through cheesy dance moves. He is an introverted individual who, when engaged, fosters meaningful dialogue. More often than not, despite protests from certain parties, he sports a beard.
Schuyler is rarely without his headphones and round sunglasses. He is an avid music fan and also enjoys composing. A video game and RPG connoisseur always ready to quote Dr. Who. He is the most loyal of friends.
Not knowing the wellbeing of Schuyler is a waking nightmare. We miss him terribly. Anyone who has experienced the disappearance of a loved one knows the weight of suspense, the dread as one goes through the ‘what ifs’ and worse case scenarios. Where is he? Is he safe and sound? Has someone hurt him? Does he need help? This is nothing short of heartbreaking.
If you have seen or heard anything, if you know something that could assist us, we BEG you to contact police. Please imagine how it would feel for the person you love more than anyone in this world to disappear without a trace and to not know if they are safe.
There are too many people to thank who have shown unbelievable support and kindness. Words cannot encapsulate our gratitude. You keep us strong. Please keep an eye out for Schuyler and spread the word.”
