The 26-year-old woman who was found deceased in Oakridge Mobile Home Park on July 21, 2013 has been identified as Yeny Alfaro. Forensic investigations to confirm the woman’s identity were completed this morning. Investigations are ongoing.

Background:

Edmonton’s Medical Examiner has confirmed that the death of a 26-year-old woman found deceased in Oakridge Mobile Home Park on July 21, 2013 to be a homicide.

The autopsy was completed today but the identity of the woman is still being verified through forensic investigation.

The cause of death is not being released at this time for investigative purposes.

This is not believed to have been a random incident and a suspect has been identified.  Investigations are ongoing.
