Durham Regional Police are trying to locate a 33-year-old male who left the Ontario Shores mental health facility in Whitby without permission Sunday night.

Lawrence ASTLES, age 33, was at the facility for a court-ordered assessment but exited his room at approximately 10:30 p.m. via a window. Officers searched the area but could not locate him. He has connections to Peterborough County, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Toronto.

He is described as a male, white, 5’10” tall, muscular build, top front teeth missing, with blonde balding hair, and was wearing blue pants, a blue shirt and canvas shoes. A photo is attached.

He has been confrontational in the past and has little or no financial resources available to him. He may be traveling to western Canada. We are concerned for his safety.

Anyone with information about the location of ASTLES is asked to contact the DRPS at 1-888-579-1520.
