Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 3700 block of the Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 11:20 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 8).
The male victim, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Senior Police Officer J. Gaona reported:
The victim was driving a black Chevrolet Cobalt and exiting the Katy Freeway at Patterson when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then rolled over several times on the exit ramp, killing the driver.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
