Authorities have confirmed that the husband of former Ontario health minister, George Smitherman, i.e. 39-year-old Christopher Peloso, is reported missing. Police report says that Mr. Peloso was last seen on Monday afternoon at around 4 p.m., whereas the news about Mr. Peloso’s disappearance was also reiterated by his sister in Sudbury, Stephanie Peloso. Mr. Smitherman’s former campaign manager, Bruce Davis, unveiled that Mr. Peloso was last seen in the Davenport Road/Bathurst Street area, where the couple had moved from their condominium on Carlton Street to the Davenport area.

Moreover, police says their additional concern is Mr. Peloso’s medical condition. They has illustrated Mr. Peloso’s appearance to be white with brown hair and brown eyes, 5’8” and 150 lbs, who was last seen wearing a dark-blue hooded jacket, tan cargo shorts and blue flip flops. Mr. Smitherman will always be Ontario’s first openly gay cabinet minister, who after serving on former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty’s government as deputy premier, health minister and energy minister, quit provincial politics in 2010. Later, he took part in Toronto’s mayoral election but was defeated by Rob Ford.

Mr. Smitherman married Mr. Pelosi married each other in 2007 in Elliott Lake, Ont. During his husband’s mayoral campaign, Mr. Pelosi said he fell in love with Mr. Smitherman the day they met. The couple has two adopted children, Kayla and Michael. Michael was adopted by the couple in 2010 when he was 14 months old. At the time, Mr. Smitherman said he was “intensely thrilled” to be a father.
