On Friday, July 30, 2010, at 2:58 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the Sheppard Avenue West/Jane Street area.
Police located a man suffering from obvious trauma.
The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The victim has been identified as Nate Thompson, 26.
The suspect is described as male, 20-30, black, 6’ and 240 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater and jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
Yesterday, investigators released several security camera images showing two men in the area at the time of the shooting. Both men have since been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as gunshot wound to the head.
