Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying four suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 3800 Canfield #901 about 1 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 25).
The victim, Billy Chatman, 70, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:
Mr. Chatman met with two unknown male suspects inside his apartment. At some point, Chatman was shot. Both suspects fled the scene in a charcoal or dark gray sport utility vehicle in dirty condition, possibly a Nissan Armada, with light window tint and paper license plates.
The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males. One is about 5 feet 4 inches tall with very short black hair. He has a Houston Texans logo tattoo on the inside of his left forearm that he may have received in the Pasadena area. He was last seen driving a black Nissan vehicle with Houston Texans logos on the top corners of the front and back windshields. The vehicle may also have a Houston Texans logo flag attached.
The second suspect is about 5 feet 7 inches tall with short hair and a light brown skin tone. He has noticeable scars on his right cheek and possible scars on his left cheek as well.
A third suspect, described as a Hispanic male with short hair, possibly wearing glasses or sunglasses, was seen driving the Nissan Armada. The fourth suspect, in the front passenger seat of the Armada, is described as a possible Hispanic female with long, curly hair. She was wearing rings and had bracelets on her right arm.
