Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 3800 Canfield #901 about 1 p.m. on September 25.
Rafael Augustin Quintanilla (H/m, DOB: 4-5-84) and Arthur Luna (H/m, DOB: 12-3-68) are charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court. Both are accused in the killing of Billy Chatman, 70, of the above address.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:
Mr. Chatman met with two unknown male suspects inside his apartment. At some point, Chatman was shot. Both suspects fled the scene in a charcoal or dark gray sport utility vehicle in dirty condition, possibly a Nissan Armada, with light window tint and paper license plates.
Further investigation and witness statements identified Luna and Quintanilla as the suspects in this case. Luna was arrested on Tuesday (Oct. 8) and Quintanilla on Sept. 27 without incident.
