As previously released, on August 27, 2010 at approximately 1:55 a.m., Uniform members were dispatched to the area of the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue regarding a stabbing incident.
Attending members located Derek Robert SPENCE, 24 years with an upper body injury consistent with being stabbed. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to injuries sustained.
Leonard Leslie MURDOCK, 23 years has been charged with Manslaughter.
He remains in custody at the Provincial Remand Centre.
