Ottawa police search for missing woman Hélène Merritt

The Ottawa Police Service is requesting the assistance to locate Hélène Merritt, 55 years-old, of Ottawa, who was last seen in the afternoon of November 30, 2013 at her residence. 

Her rental vehicle was located near the Canadian Museum of Civilizations, in Gatineau, on December 2, 2013. 

She is described as: 

-a white female 
– measures approximately 5’5” 
-weighs approximately 170 pounds 
-has short grey hair 
-brown eyes 
-wears prescription glasses 
-there is no available clothing description 

Update: The Ottawa police Service would like to advise that Ms. Helene Merritt was located today. Her body was found in the river by the Gatineau Police. No foul play is suspected. No further information will be released.
