Fifteen-year-old Katelyn Nicks missing in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Dartmouth female.

Fifteen-year-old Katelyn Nicks was last seen on Thursday, August 19 at approximately 8 p.m. in Dartmouth where she was staying. She was reported missing later that evening and police have be attempting to locate her since then without any success. Katelyn is from Hants County and is not believed to have any friends in the metro area, however, police have received information indicating that Katelyn was in the south end of the city. Katelyn is a white female, 5’6", 200 lbs., with shoulder length black hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing black jogging pants and a long sleeved green and brown plaid shirt.

At this time investigators do not believe Katelyn has met with foul play, however, given her age, her family is concerned for her well being. Police request that Katelyn, or anyone with information on her whereabouts, call Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016 or their local police department.
