Fatal shooting incident at 10401 Bessemer claims the life of man Michael R. Hernandez

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10401 Bessemer about 12:40 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 19). 

The victim, Michael R. Hernandez, 27, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeat K. Tolls and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported: 

Three to four armed male suspects forced their way into the residence at the above address and confronted the persons inside. One suspect held a female at gunpoint while two other suspects confronted Mr. Hernandez. Hernandez fought with the suspects and, at some point during the struggle, he was fatally shot. The suspects then took victims’ cellphones and possible other items. The suspects fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Malibu. 

The suspects are described only as Hispanic males who spoke English, but had Spanish accents. The first was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 120 pounds with short hair and brown eyes. He was wearing all black, including a black wool cap and a black bandana covering his face. The second was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 130 pounds and also dressed in all black. The third suspect was about 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with short hair and brown eyes. He was wearing khaki-colored pants and a cream-colored hooded jacket. He wore the hood over his head and a red bandana over his face. A possible fourth suspect may have waited outside the residence.
