Michael James Smith charged with unlawful confinement in Vancouver

 A 27 year old Vancouver resident has been charged with a total of nine offences after a man was allegedly confined and beaten in a Shangri-La condominium on September 2nd.

Michael James Smith is charged with unlawful confinement, two counts of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, uttering threats, theft, dangerous driving, flight from a peace officer and possession of stolen property under $5000. He is known to police.

The investigation is continuing and there is no word on any other charges against a second man and a woman who were also taken into custody.
