Peel police search for Brampton man Iqbal Singh wanted in a murder case

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. Peel Regional Police were called to an address on Kingknoll Drive, in Brampton.  Police arrived to find two people suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Both parties were taken to hospital, where the victim, Anita Summan, a 51 year old female, succumbed to her injuries.  The second victim, Gurcharan Doal, a 46 year old male, remains in hospital in life threatening condition. Both victims are from the Brampton area. 

A Canada-wide warrant is being sought for Iqbal Singh, 46 years of age also from Brampton.  The male is wanted for Murder and Attempted Murder.  He is described as male South Asian, 5’11”, 190 lbs, medium build with brown hair and eyes and is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Singh was observed leaving the scene in a 2001 4 door, green Honda Civic Lic. # BNCS434.  If the vehicle is observed, investigators are requesting that people do not approach but call 911 immediately.
