The Calgary Police Service has laid charges in relation to yesterday’s fatal hit-and-run.
At approximately 4 a.m, on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, police received a call that a pedestrian had been hit and dragged by a vehicle in the 4000 block of Centre Street N. The vehicle, described as a two-door Honda Accord, gold in colour, with front-end damage, failed to remain at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver returned to the scene of the collision several hours later and turned himself in. Dilan Ursan, 25, of Calgary is charged with hit-and-run causing death.
